Postcards
from Felix

Story by Annette Langen
Illustrated by Costanza Droop
This is a story of a bunny named Felix who gets separated
from Sophie, his "little girl." He boards the wrong airplane, and travels
the world. He sends her letters from the places that he visits. What a great way to learn
about some geography!!
Between September and February, kindergarten
parents can request to take Felix along whenever they are going on a trip. They make an
entry in his travel journal about the place they visited and their exciting adventures
while they traveled. Parents can also send postcards to the class and include photos or
other mementos in his travel journal. We also appreciate any background information about
the place they visit. In class, we will read Felix's travel journal, monitor his travels,
and record the places he visits on our world map. Think about when you might take Felix on
a trip!

Our "Postcards from Felix" Project
Felix, our traveling bunny, will visit Kindergarten classes across the country
from February to May. He will stay 2 weeks in each class. Each time he leaves to visit a
new Kindergarten class, he will send a postcard back to our class at Terryville School .
Felix will bring a journal from our class and another one to record his travels.
He will have a travel suitcase to keep souvenirs from each place he visits. He will also
bring some things from Long Island to remind him of home. His adventures will be recorded
on our class web page. Check back later to read about his adventures!
