Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. DeMatteo lost their friends in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. 

They decided to ask all the Kindergarten and First Grade teachers to help them remember all the good people who helped on that day.

Each class made a flag to give to a community organization to thank them for making Terryville a safe place to live.

Mrs. Stewart's Kindergarten gave their flag to the Terryville Fire Department.
